Next Generation Healthcare: Genomics for Nurses and Midwives

Lorraine Szeremeta, Chief Nurse at Cambridge University Hospitals, together with the East Midlands and East of England NHS Genomic Laboratory Hub, invite you to attend our free one-day event, Next Generation Healthcare: Genomics for Nurses and Midwives.

Guest speakers will give an overview of the national NHS Genomic Medicine Service, provide information about educational resources for nurses/midwives looking to learn more about genomics, outline national nurse-led genomics initiatives, and provide examples of regional best practice. Find out how genomics is revolutionising the diagnostic pathway of patients with rare diseases and personalising cancer care, and what you can do to learn more and get involved.

This event is targeted at nurses and midwives who are interested in genomics - all are welcome, no prior experience is necessary, and other healthcare professionals can register too. If you do have experience of genetics or genomics in a patient care or research setting, then please register to present a poster and showcase your work.
