Personalised Breast Cancer Project launch

A pioneering and world-leading new initiative from the Cambridge Breast Cancer Programme is the Personalised Breast Cancer Project (PBCP), which will deliver whole-genome and RNA sequencing for all consenting patients seen within the Cambridge Breast Unit for a period of 5 years.

A launch event is taking place at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute on Monday 14 November from 16.00 to celebrate and promote this initiative, and importantly to start the drive to raise the further £5–6M needed to complete the project by recruiting a further 2,000 patients over 5 years.

The following speakers will give talks during the afternoon: Sir Harpal Kumar, CEO Cancer Research UK; Professor Patrick Maxwell, Regius Professor of Physic; Professor Carlos Caldas, Director Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit; Dr Jean Abraham, Academic Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology.

The talks will be followed by a drinks reception.

Please note you must register in advance to attend this event.
