As Managing Director of Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP), Araminta develops and strengthens the strategic partnership between the universities, NHS organisations and industry in Cambridge, driving collaboration across research, healthcare and innovation to strengthen Cambridge’s position as a globally leading life sciences ecosystem.

Araminta has extensive leadership experience spanning research strategy, translational innovation and ecosystem development. She has led major strategic initiatives across CUHP and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, working at the interface of academia, healthcare, industry and government to accelerate research translation and maximise the impact of research.

Originally trained as a scientist, Araminta completed a PhD in organometallic chemistry before moving into oncology through a series of research fellowships, including an NIHR Fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden. During this time, she gained first-hand experience of translational research, leading clinical trials and developing novel imaging technologies within a start-up environment, providing a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved in translating scientific discovery into clinical benefit.

At CUHP, Araminta provides executive leadership across strategy, operations and external partnerships, influencing regional and national health innovation agendas. She recently led a strategic review of early-stage life sciences translation for the University of Cambridge, bringing together senior academic, clinical and industry leaders to develop recommendations that will shape the University’s future approach to accelerating the translation of health research into patient benefit, economic growth and societal impact.
