Driving life sciences in the Cambridge cluster
At Cambridge University Health Partners, our programmes help to foster close links between university researchers, clinicians, innovators, investors and small, medium and large businesses.
In collaboration with leaders from across the Cambridge life sciences cluster we have also crafted and are implementing a joint life sciences strategy to drive innovation and growth. We work closely with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Innovate Cambridge.
Our partners and members of the wider cluster work at the leading edge of medicine, as their researchers and clinicians look to treat patients by understanding the mechanisms of disease and deploying novel solutions, rather than simply treating the symptoms.
This involves cross-discipline collaboration, as physicists, mathematicians, engineers and social scientists join clinicians to develop new and more effective treatments.
The phenomenon of Cambridge: its universities, research institutes and its cluster, is an inspiring reminder of the great power of human ingenuity to create new enterprises and industries
