Richard is the Director of Communications for Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) and Cambridge Biomedical Campus Ltd (CBC).
Before joining us, Richard had a 25-year, award-winning career as a BBC correspondent and presenter, including spells as a science correspondent, political correspondent and transport correspondent. In that time, he reported on major global stories including the Covid pandemic, aviation disasters such as the disappearance of flight MH370, multiple general elections and the Iraq War. He also presented the business news on BBC Breakfast TV and the Panorama programme about the VW diesel scandal. He currently presents a podcast for the Bennett Institute for Public Policy and penned a science fiction novel.
